It is our pleasure to report that we are about to re- launch our monthly Sew Days.
It has been a long time since we have been able to offer a place for our members to gather to enjoy the company of likeminded people. For the balance of 2020 we have secured a new venue providing us a place to come together to work on new projects, finish UFO’s, to enjoy a full day of uninterrupted sewing and creating in a room of our “Quilty” friends.
Sew Days are a great time to get to know new people in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Our new venue is the Arbutus Garry Oak room at the Parksville Community Center (where the Guild meets) Our hours are 9 am to 3 pm. Our fee is $10 per sew day prepaid by e-transfer or in correct change placed in our secure box at the venue. For now there will no longer be prepaid cards and those with cards are asked to top up the fee in cash.
As usual bring your machine, your projects and supplies, your lunch and new this year please bring your water, coffee or tea and snack needs as there will be no refreshments available for the foreseeable future.
Keep in mind that we try to provide an environment welcoming to all so please refrain from the use of strongly scented products.
Most importantly please note that Sew Days will require pre-registration. There cannot be any drop ins as we are very limited in the number of members we can accommodate due to the Covid 19 restrictions.
There will be an e-cast going out to all members around the 14-15th of each month with directions for pre-registration.
